Who is leading your life?
Are you currently being led by your own interests, plans, needs, desires, emotions, laws, and rules? The stuff that you believe is worthy and everlasting?
Are you at a place where you are willing to completely surrender to the guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit, the one who was sent to help us achieve holiness?
Do you know the voice of the Holy Spirit, His whispering, His counsel?
Do you take time every morning to submit to the Holy Spirit’s direction?
“Lord, not what I want but what YOU want.”
“There is so much more I would like to say to you, but it’s more than you can grasp at this moment. But when the truth-giving Spirit comes, he will unveil the reality of every truth within you. He won’t speak on his own, but only what he hears from the Father, and he will reveal prophetically to you what is to come. John 16:12-13 (TPT)
And don’t get drunk with wine, which is rebellion; instead, be filled continually with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 (TPT)
Don’t be overcome by this world and its desires or Satan and his lies about you, about God or about God’s creation and His plan for you. But allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in all Truth, the Father’s Truth.
Let the Holy Spirit dwell inside of you. Let Him feel honoured to visit, as if a King of old would come to visit with you. Arrange your life in such a way that the Holy Spirit will kick off his shoes and crash on the sofa. Allow him into every room of your life, even give Him the key to the back and front door. Call Him into every situation, so He can counsel and direct you on the way everlasting.
Have a very real and personal relationship with the Holy Spirit, for He is very real.
Always be obedient to His counsel and instruction – otherwise it is pointless. It is fine to hear the Spirit’s guidance, BUT it is a loving sacrifice to our Heavenly Father, when we obey His guidance. He did give His only Son, to pay for our sin in FULL. A small price to pay if you could have balanced the cost.
Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God’s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, he will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you! Romans 8:11 (TPT)
So, when all is said and done and you take stock of your priorities, rather than becoming despondent or self-absorbed, become a friend of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to take residency within all of you. Let Him live and spread His TRUTH within you.
“If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you. I will talk to the Father, and he’ll provide you another Friend so that you will always have someone with you. This Friend is the Spirit of Truth. The godless world can’t take him in because it doesn’t have eyes to see him, doesn’t know what to look for. But you know him already because he has been staying with you and will even be in you!” John 14:15-17 (MSG)
I pray Father, in Jesus’ name, that you will open the eyes and ears of the reader, to Your Spirit. Let them experience Your friendship in ways that is irrefutable as holy and godly. For You alone are worthy to be worshipped.
